Small bakery but amazing selection of brownies, cookies, cupcakes, crumb cake, and fruit pastries. During Halloween time they have very cute spooky pastries.

A good rule of thumb is not to go to a bakery late in the day, but at Packanack Bakery, it does not matter when you go, it is always great. What a spread at this place, they have everything you want in a Bakery. Their signature Crumb Cake was as advertised and even better. Finally i found a true Bakery. Anytime I am in Wayne, this is my new go to sweet spot. Love this place.

The cookies I bought were decent, but the customer service was poor. I walked in the bakery with my mom and little sister with smiles, and was greeted with a blank faced stare just short of an eye roll until I asked “Can I please have a Linzer tart?”, the young lady behind the counter put the tart in the bag and tossed it onto the counter (not sure that she meant for it to fall over but she placed it so carelessly that it did) and just said “anything else” and gave us the cost. Not sure why this was the customer service we received (cold and rude). I thought she might just be having a bad day, but a lady entered in right after us and the employee greeted her with a smile and asked how she could help her.

Love their cakes. Their crumb cake and chocolate pudding crumb cakes are our go to crowd pleasers at work celebrations.

The Good- Donuts and Crumb cake was very good typically. The service is always good and the people are nice. The cookie cake is above average. Oatmeal raisin cookies are solid. The prices are very reasonable overall. The Bad- most everything else, especially the cakes. Have tried 4 of the cakes and each one was underwhelming. It’s sad because it’s a traditional bakery close to where I live so I want the cakes to be good, but they just aren’t up to par. I’ll keep coming for the donuts and crumb cake but the cakes are a pass for me.

I have to say, this is one of the best local bakeries around. I stop in here from time to time to get a dozen of doughnuts and they never disappoint during a business meeting.

I used to buy all my baked goods from a long-standing, well-known bakery in Bergen county. I was in the area, so I visited the Packanack Bakery. I found that their glazed crumb buns, glazed doughnuts, and jelly doughnuts were better tasting, twice the size and almost half the price! And if you can get there early enough, you will be able to get a Morning Glory muffin, so moist and full of flavor (there must be at least 7 different ingredients, including carrots and, I believe sunflower seeds) which are so good, they're usually sold out by 9:00. I drive there every Saturday -- they're worth the 30-minute trip!
